About this project
Description
The project aims to expand the protected area system of madagascar by developing a network of managed resource protected areas in under represented ecological landscapes, co-managed by local government and communities and integrated into the regional development framework. This will be achieved through the establishment of new managed resource protected areas and strengthening the institutional capacity to administer decentralised protected area governance framework for managed resources, as well as through the establishment of public-private partnerships to ensure financial sustainability .
